Pirates of The Caribbean
I am way into fiction ( medieval, epic, Tolkien-ish
worlds, knights, magic.. ), cyberpunk and streampunk as well as
stories concerning pirates and their exploits. Having said that,
its easy to assume that I really loved the first movie in the
Pirates of
the Caribbean series,
Pirates of the Caribbean : The Curse of the Black Pearl.
Johnny Depp
was beyond great in it, the plot was great, the action, the scenes,
everything. I was really looking forward to the second one,
"Dead
Man's Chest" which premiered in Greece a few days ago. I
watched it with Dora yesterday and my feelings about it are
currently mixed. Great action, great performance by J.Depp and the
rest of the cast, great battles..yet the plot seemed somewhat
confusing and not that tight. I was told that over 6 plots were
fighting for domination, so to speak, for this movie which resulted
in some sort of plots mash-up. That said, its great nonetheless,
just not as good as the first one.
